All change at Southend Council on Monday night. After a vote of no confidence in the Conservative leader Tony Cox was passed, I along with the majority of Councillors agreed to support a new joint administration led by Cllr Ian Gilbert, Labour leader, along with Cllr Ron Woodley (Independent leader) and Cllr Carole Mulroney (Liberal Democrat leader). This marks a change of direction for the Council and the new Cabinet is as follows:

Deputy Leader (Transport/Capital/Inward Investment): Cllr Ron Woodley (Independent)
Environment & Planning: Cllr Carole Mulroney (Liberal Democrat)
Business, Culture & Tourism: Cllr Kevin Robinson (Labour)
Children &Learning: Cllr Anne Jones (Labour)
Community Safety & Customer Contact: Cllr Martin Terry (Independent)
Healthy Communities & Wellbeing: Cllr Trevor Harp (Independent)
